Mini-14 M14 Style Flash Hider
Since the sun has set on the Assault Weapon Ban, Choate Machine & Tool has brought back what we consider to be the finest flash hider for the Mini-14. The long flash chamber copies the classic M-14 battle rifle, looks great, and is an improved flash reducer. It includes a built-in, narrow front sight blade that gives a vastly improved sight picture, especially at long range and has raised "wings" on both sides to protect the front sight. Secures with a 1/8" roll pin. Will not fit new 2008 Mini-14 models with serial numbers beginning with 580 (ex: 580-XXXX)
**Modifications - A notch will need to be drilled in the bottom of the barrel for roll pin.

Vortex Flash Hider
Hands down, this is the most advanced design made and conceals 99.9% of flash on even short barrels! Four angled flutes dissipate the gas but contain unburned powder allowing increased residual burn for less visible flash. They have passed torture tests at Aberdeen Proving Grounds and are in heavy use by U.S. govt. agencies, U.S. military forces and are combat proven in the Middle East and other hot spots. The 2 1/4" Vortex is machined from 8620 bar stock and case hardened with a black parkerized finish. For pre-ban threaded .223 barrels only. Military Style has a groove behind the flutes to attach a Blank Firing Adapter.
