Want to add versatility to your 1911 pistol? Introducing the Carbine Conversion Unit that allows you to convert your 1911 into a legal .40 S&W carbine without modification. Simply remove the slide assembly from your frame, slide the Conversion Unit onto the frame an reinstall your slide stop. Load up a magazine & have fun! Unit comes with a scope mount installed and accepts any Weaver style rings. Unit is finished with a durable powder coat and features a stainless steel barrel. Weight installed on a standard steel frame is 6 lbs 13oz. Overall length is 33 1/4 . ? Scope not included.
Note: Only non-extended safeties work properly with CCU. It will still work with extended safeties, however you will not have a functional thumb safety.
